Are Fennec Foxes Good Pets?

The honest answer

For almost everyone, no. Fennec foxes are one of the most impulse purchased exotic pets on the internet and one of the most misunderstood. They are nocturnal, astonishingly loud, relentless diggers, and driven by scent marking, and ownership is restricted or illegal in many places.

What the videos do not show

Every viral fennec clip is thirty adorable seconds selected from a night of screaming, digging, and destruction. The traits that make fennecs magnificent desert survivors, the energy, the ears, the noise, are the same traits that make them miserable roommates. When the reality lands, animals lose their homes.

The better way

Our Sunset Safari sessions can include fennec fox ambassadors, up close, guided, and on the fox's terms. You get the ears, the eyes, and the wonder. The fox keeps a life built around what a fennec actually needs.
