Indoor Activities in Fort Lauderdale
When the Florida heat peaks or a storm rolls in off the Atlantic, Fort Lauderdale's best indoor option is waiting. Capybara Cafe puts you in a calm, air-conditioned space with some of the most social animals on earth.
Why It Works Indoors
Climate-Controlled, Calming, and Genuinely Memorable
Most Fort Lauderdale activities depend on the weather. This one doesn't. Our climate-controlled space is comfortable year-round, and the experience works better in a calm, enclosed environment anyway.
Fully Climate-Controlled
Cool, comfortable, and pleasant regardless of what Florida's weather decides to do outside.
Capybaras Up Close
The world's largest rodents are naturally calm and social. Indoor encounters let you sit with them at their pace with no distractions.
Calm by Design
Small groups. Quiet space. Trained guides. The indoor setting is part of what makes this experience so different from outdoor wildlife parks.
Great for Photos
Consistent lighting and close proximity make for photos that outdoor parks can rarely match. Every guest leaves with something worth sharing.
When to Visit
Fort Lauderdale summers routinely reach the high 90s with humidity that makes outdoor activity uncomfortable by midday. Afternoon thunderstorms are common from May through October. Capybara Cafe is the kind of activity that works any time of day, any time of year.
It is also an excellent option for visitors who have already done the beach, the boat tours, and the outdoor attractions and want something completely different for their last day in town.
